The May day this year was the first May Day after the three-day long holiday was changed into one day, so many colleagues who had intended to return home on May Day stayed in Guangzhou. In order to let them feel the festive atmosphere, we organized the activity of A Tour to the Pearl River at Night. The Pearl River is the mother river of Guangzhou so the scenery along the banks of the Pearl River has also become one of the attractions must be visited by every tourist to Guangzhou, especially at night, when colorful neon lights are lightened, all kinds of lightings decorate buildings and bridges along the banks full of brilliance. As Olympics approached, many festoon lightings of the buildings along the banks had been designed like the Fuwa. During the tour, we were also proud to look forward to the arrival of the Beijing Olympic Games. As a result of busy work, many colleagues were unable to find time to view the beauty of the Pearl River although they had been in Guangzhou for many years. This activity not only enabled us to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view, but also enhanced mutual understanding between colleagues.
